Now here is something that's pretty cool...
This is a first for Sonic, too! It is a Wireless Phone Charging Mat / Pad. Numskull has the classic license still, (you can use the site-search here on Gear to find more they've done) and has used it to create this actually quite stylish charging mat. It uses the Sonic 1 in a winged-ring title screen graphic for its design. It seems to be made of that 'flat, cut rubber' that often sturdy keychains are made of.
This substance is wear-tolerant, captures detail really well, and always has a clean and tidy look. Having it cut to the exact shape of the wings, ring & banner give the charger a great and dynamic shape. The linterior lines (for his ears, etc) are cut-in textures that are present, they're just hard to see in the photo. This is a super classic looking item carried out with quality! Numskull really did a good job at choosing & creating this, you can get it at europe's Sega Shop.
Wireless charging is a newer fad where you don't have to plug the device in, because there's a special thing in there that can charge it up by just being touching/extremely near the special wire-free power source 'mat'. However, that means you can't actually pick the thing/phone/whatever you have up while it charges so while it does look fancy it is actually a bit less functional than a corded charger.
