Now here's a shirt that makes use of innovative design. Not content with the 'regular' stock art, this one goes for a collage. You've got Silver, Shadow, Sonic, Knuckles (and for some reason) the Werehog. Each character is in a stripe of color, and only partially shown. A corresponding letter to the word "Sonic" is in matching color above. Above that is the phrase "Masters of the Spin Dash"...which isn't really true, especially for the werehog. (Did Silver ever spin dash? Could he?) The bottom has some checkers & the modern logo. It's def. something different for your collection, and the colored strips make for a cool design. There is a white one also, available at Target. It does not have the checkering at the bottom. Photo wanted!
This shirt glows in the dark!
Does it look familiar to you? It might, because it's actually a remake of an earlier shirt, which you can see here on Modern USA Clothing. This one is pretty much identical, except for the fact that with this one, they've replaced the hot colored paint with glowing paint for the lines. The little sticker says "This Shirt GLOWS". The tag is odd, in that it's classic Sonic while the design is modern. This is by Bioworld. This can be found at JC Penny in spring 2012 for 9.99. This shirt is in the SonicGear personal collection.
This shirt is listed as a 2012 late summer /fall offering from Kohls stores. Their designs tend to be exclusive to that particular store too, though it often has sales/discount mailers, so that's something to look for if you want this tee. It's all gray, with varying size light blue stripes, black 'grunge' style checkered area and turning pose modern Sonic nice and big for the design. It's a tad standard, but a good, solid & colorful design if you don't already have something that resembles it. This should be in the boys/teens section of the store, so it may fit most people. Note the Kohls paper tag & printed tag in the back of the shirt collar.
Check out this great shirt from Old Navy!
It's one of the 2 shirts they started offering in 2012. Old Navy had 'character tees' before, but this is one of the first Sonic themed ones, and it's great. It uses modern CG art for the characters, so all the poses are fresh. Each character is in a colored square, but part of the character overlaps the edge of the square to add interest. Then, since there are 9 squares, there's a great variety for who they feature. You get: Sonic Tails Knuckles Silver Shadow Metal Sonic! Eggman! Big and Vector (interestingly enough). Metal & Eggman are rare to see on tees, so if you're a fan, grab this one! This is at Old Navy in spring/summer 2012 & also likely in the SonicGear Clothing Store as, ON has chosen to sell there, for some reason. (also a recent development...likely a good idea too if a local store sells out)
Here's another shirt with the 3 hedgehogs theme (same design too) only this one is bright orange. Likely a 'little-er' kids only size tee. Not confirmed in boys/teens.
Variant of the blue one here on the right.
Here's a bright red or blue tee with the newer modern Thumbs-up/leaning Sonic (note the cast-shadow added too!) art with stripes. The stripes are kind of mottled with patterns for interest. The graphic is nice & big so Sonic really stands out. Watch for the quality of the print when you buy. This is by Bio-World (note the shaped tag) and can be found at Sears in 2012 winter for about 9.99. The blue one is a variant, released later. Is it at Sears too? The red one is in the SonicGear collection.
Here's a great shirt for Blaze fans.
Blaze is the only other character other than Sonic to have a full-body pose for this tee. Shadow & Knuckles profiles appear, but they're sort of 'floating' among the colors of the background. The various streaks are actually lots of tiny colored dots that blend the colors into one another. It's an interesting background that brightens up the shirt and helps it stand out. This is available at Sears in the boys/teens area in spring 2012, and should be about 9 dollars. The tag is another one of those 'classic tag with modern shirt' deals that only says 'Sega' on the back. This shirt is in the SonicGear personal collection.
