Here is Tomy's large size modern style Super Sonic plush.
This one was far less common than their small line, which was confirmed to appear several times in Target stores. (Either in the toy aisle or with the video games) Where was this big one even sold? Like their other big dolls, he comes sitting in the cardboard display 'chair' with their signature die cut 'pixel styel' edges. It makes for an ok presentation, but stores can't stack it, and the doll is exposesd to getting dirty in the store before purchase.
And the plush is....ok..ish? Sonic's head appears somewhat squashed here as it's too low/flat. Then, they have him looking off to one side for some reason, but it doesn't work as well with the flat flap nose they used that's always bending off to either side. The box doesn't give the legs an accurate presentation (you can see they're scrunching up here) The spikes are turned upward, but they seem rather small, especially for a rendition of modern Sonic.

The hands seem a little small. It's basically not terrible, but not fantastic, either. However, it was one thing: expensive. This costly doll was likely around 40 dollars for a 12 inch doll that's only an 'ok' likeness. It's not as exciting as GE plushes. High cost, only so-so design & general scarcity upon release probably leads it to be uncommon.
